Welcome to all visitors to this site. Mary's Bookshop sells second hand books, compact discs, dvd's and video and audio tapes. We also sell some small items of bric-a-brac. All have been donated and we have a stock which is possibly as large as 20,000 books.

Our range of books is very wide, including  large print and those for children, and  caters for most tastes

Our Mission

Our mission, at Mary's Book Shop, is to raise funds for a local charity. The charity is St. John's Hospice, Moggerhanger, which is the local branch of Sue Ryder Care. 

We have been pursuing this objective since September 1997, and have so far paid more than £58,300 to the home. The shop is run by volunteers only, so we give most of our takings to the Home.

As we sell donated second hand books, we cannot guarantee that we will have any specific book in stock, but we do our best to meet our customers requirements.

When required, we will reply to all requests for information.

We normally open:

                            Monday        12.00 - 16.00

                            Tuesday        10.00 - 14.00

                            Thursday       11.00 - 14.00

                            Saturday        11.00 - 14.00

Occasionally we have a twelve hour opening period, normally 08.00 - 20.00. These will be advertised locally and on this site.
